It is magnificent to take action now because the reward for the action is your success. I am a big proponent of TAN aka Take Action Now. I like to take action now because taking action now leads to success and accomplishment while inaction leads to failure, lack of confidence and regret. Today should be the day you take action now to do what needs doing because the key to success is in your hands.
Success is commonly defined as the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. In other words, success happens when we complete what we set out to do. The key to that is completing the action. The key to completing the action is actually taking action now. Today is the day to stop planning, stop plotting and stop dreaming. Today is the day to start moving, start checking items off the to-do list and start succeeding.Sometimes, people are afraid of success. They are afraid because have been living a certain way for such a long time that the idea of succeeding at something is scary because it is new, it is different and it is important. It is an interesting paradox because these people want success at the same time they are refusing to take action now to get to that success.
Most people have heard the expression, “don’t put off for tomorrow what you can do today.” That is the idea behind TAN aka Take Action Now. After all, you have a plan, you want to get something done.Today is the day to take action now. If your goal is tobe healthier, take action now, today, to start exercising and eating better. If your goal is to start a new business, take action now, today, toplan that business and enjoy being an entrepreneur. If your goal is to figure out how to make the work/life balancea reality in your life, take action now, today, to get out your calendar and start working smart instead of working hard. You can choose to take action now, which means you can choose to succeed. Once you have made the choice to succeed, to take action now, and start moving, success is a step on your journey, move towards it!
In conclusion, it is magnificent to take action now because the reward for the action is your success. So, the question for you today is, what step are you taking toward your success?

Taking Action Now at home is just as important as taking action at work. I know how crazy my life is when the house is a wreck.
Thanks for sharing your view of success. I enjoyed reading your perspective. If someone started off trying to go to London, then decided to go to Paris for some reason, if they made it to Paris, I would call that a success. I think our definitions for success should be fluid and personal to us and our cirucmstances.
I have noticed that too. Action brings about more action and as a result, progress.
Wow, your words have made me smile and feel amazing. I am glad you are getting better at what you do. Please leave your link so that people who come by here can check you out.
That is a great place to start your TANning, good for you and the family. It is a hard one, but worth it.
Yes, if we just get moving, just start taking those steps, we will get there.
Oooooo, I like the way you put that I am going to have to copy that!
I am like that as well. I need the list to check off what I am supposed to be getting done.
Wooo hooo for your “crazy” husband and congratulations to you both.
This is such an interesting response, as I read this I am taking a 5 minute break from having everyone in my house clean!
Glad I could help. Let me know how what you go for works out.
I am glad you liked what I wrote! Start going for some of that stuff you want. Think of it this way, worst case scenario, you won’t get it. But ou don’t have it now. Best case scenario, you get it! You can handle that. Go for something.
It is good you are teachig your kids these good habits, because they copy what they see us do.
Yes, go get your TAN on!
Yes, Chelsea, the ais the point, you need to get off your butt sometimes if you want to get something done!
I totally stand by you on this statement. I have done a lot more than other people my age and people are always like “you are so lucky, I wish I could’ve done ___blank___” and I’m like you CAN, just get off your butt and do it!
I keep an active running to-do list. And I actively work towards checking off the things that I need to do. I jot down all of my ideas in that list too. Great advice about taking action to get to your goals, cause they sure aren’t going to deliver themselves on a silver platter. 😉
Very true! Nothing happens if you just sit around and wait for it. Not usually, anyway!
Great advice! Now I need to follow it…I’m ready to TAN!
Great advice we should all be following
I love how inspiring your posts always are! I’m one of those people that tends to procrastinate… like I haven’t even figured out what I’m making for Thanksgiving. Time to take action!
I love Take Action Now! I’m a huge fan of positive thinking, visualization, and using affirmations to make things happen!
Great Advice!! Love it! Take action NOW is something we do when we are rushed for time… why dont we treat everything in life this way.
As I teach my kids, the only way to fail is to not try. Each day I tackle the big stuff first, the rest is cake!
Thanks for making me think. I like to put off things to the next day but I need to do it today. Have you heard of March 4th? It’s the day to take action and give vision to your dreams. I started my blog on March 4. 🙂
I was a little bit teary-eyed while reading your post. Your words are getting right at me. I am the person who is afraid to take risks…afraid of failure. I am. This is a reminder for me. I love your post!
Great encouragement! Thank you for the boost! I needed it!
My biggest dream right now is to get the house organized just the way I like. We have been slowly working on it. It’s so refreshing to see a pretty, clean, organized house. 🙂
Thanks for your words of encouragement and your wise advice….now I just need to take it!!! Take Action NOW is so true…..you can’t accomplish what you never start!!
I’ve been getting better and better about this as the days roll on, and you’re such a great cheerleader for all of us!
It’s so easy to sit and think about doing things, isn’t it? Action is so scary, but the pay off is SO worth it!
I thought my husband was crazy to start a new business but two years later it is finally paying off!!!
To do lists are the best preparation for taking action and succeeding for me. When I don’t have a plan, I sit idly and get little done.
Great advice. Only we can change our course.
This is great advice. I need to procrastinate less and take action now.
I make a daily list and try to stick to it. There’s not much time in my life for procrastination. Thanks for being so inspirational!
Great advice! My goal this week is to finish a few more Christmas posts so I can schedule them and cut back on some of my blogging holiday rush
I agree with the commentor that said do it today, and relax tomorrow.
Unless you are empire building. Then get back to work.
I totally agree! I hate procrastinating and I try to do my best everyday to do as much as I can!
So true! Stop procrastinating and get busy!
I love this! I firmly believe that success in whatever we want to accomplish always begins with the decision to take that first step in the right direction!
Another great encouraging post! I agree…..take action now! I’ve been putting this mindset into changing my family’s healthy eating habits. 🙂
You need to be a motivational speaker. Your messages are always filled with great info and are very positive. You have motivated me to be a better blogger, Thanks.
Sometimes it’s so scary to take action and we end up just sitting and settling. I’m doing better with my action for sure.
I love this. My focus word for 2013 was “ACT” and this is exactly what I was striving to do – take action now. I’m still a work in progress, but I find that the more I try, the easier it gets.
I think it gets a little tricky when success is defined by completion of something in particular. One could start out doing something, wind up doing something else and have a better outcome than the initial intention. I suspect the key is knowing the shades of gray, and being able to distinguish that a perceived failure doesn’t mean that one is a failure or that the ultimate outcome will be. So many facets of life are difficult to encompass in just a few words, but we surely do try. The thing is that there are always things and meanings nestled in other things and other meanings, it sometimes murkys the path we’re on, and how we look at ourselves as we take the actions we do. Thanks for your post. 🙂
I’m working on taking action now on cleaning up my livingroom. lol. WE have had sickness all weekend and I”m still fighting it off; but I know if I don’t clean up at least ONE room; our entire house will fall apart before I’m better.
not business related directly; but in the long run it will help me when I’m back on my feet and ready to go to work; cause I won’t have to worry about our house getting cleaned up and trying to find time to do it.
