One of the best things you can do if you want to succeed and be happy in life is to learn to take action now. This means that you stop thinking, planning, and deciding and start actually doing things. There are many ways to take action now.
The method is not important. What is important is that you simply take action now. Here is my favorite story about what it means to take action now.
Five birds were sitting on a telephone wire when three birds decide to go to Florida for the weekend.
Question: How many birds were left?
Answer: Five, because deciding to do something is not the same thing as actually doing something.
I wrote the book “Take Action Now and Get Things Done” in order to help people learn how they can stop thinking, planning, and deciding so they can start doing. The book and the journal that go with it are the first of a 5 part series of books crammed full of ideas on how you can take action now and get things done. In order to take action now and get things done, you have to make up your mind that you are going to move. You must get to a place where you will not take no for an answer, even from yourself, and push forward to get things done
You must Take Action Now because you should be the driver of the automobile that is your life. When you sit back and let happen whatever will happen, you are in the passenger seat of your life. In life, just like in a car, the passenger has very little impact on the way travel will happen. When you don’t Take Action Now, you are sitting down and when you should be standing and walking. When you sit back and just let life happen rather than Taking Action Now, you are like a person who brings a knife to a gunfight. You are ill-prepared and out-of-place.
When you really want to take action now and get things done, you must simply get up and do it. Do not worry if you do not know how to do it. Do not worry if you are scared to do it alone. There are tools that can help you. such as:
- vision boards
- mind maps
- accountability boards
Do not wait for tomorrow. Do not despair because you did not start yesterday. Neither of those things matters. Instead, simply move forward recognizing that you can take action now today and do whatever it is that you want to do.
