It is important to keep in mind that opportunities, aka Golden Tickets, are very much like gold. This means that you have to get up and move to find opportunities. To find opportunities you must dig deep and then leap. No matter what you want to accomplish in life, you must take advantage of opportunities when they come along.. More importantly though, you must go and look for opportunities to succeed.
For example, if you want to teach Sunday school, you must take advantage of the opportunity to go to church. If you want a promotion at work, you must take advantage of opportunities to network with the decision makers at your job. If you want to help influence policy at your children’s school, you must take advantage of opportunities to go to HSA meetings to meet with other parents, teachers and administrators to learn what actually happens at the school. Don’t sit and wait for an opportunity, go look for it. When you look for opportunity, keep in mind it is a game you must win. It is like hide and seek. You must go to where opportunity is hiding, seek it out, find it, grab it and use it to succeed.
