Be grateful for work because it enables you to provide for your family, have something to do each work day and help make the world a better place.
Each weekday morning, people all over the world get up and prepare to spend a significant portion of the day at work. Many of these people are miserable at their places of employment. If you are one of those people, I encourage you to get a new attitude about work. There are at least three reasons why you should be grateful for work. These three include the following:
1. Work enables you to provide for your family.
2. Work gives you something to do each day.
3. Work is a way to make the world a better place.
Wake up in the morning determined to go to work and be glad that you can provide for your family.
There are many reasons why people work. One of the most important and one of the most common is the need to provide for one’s family. If you are a person with a spouse, children, pets and other similar responsibilities, you need money to honor those responsibilities. Housing costs money. Food costs money. Clothing costs money. Entertainment costs money. When one goes to work, one earns a salary and is able to provide those things for one’s family.
When you look at your work as a way of providing for your family rather than as a nuisance that keeps you away from your family, you have a new and different appreciation for it. A thing that does nothing but keeps you away from your family is a thing to despised, hated and shunned. On the other hand, a thing that provides for your family deserves respect, admiration and appreciation. It is all about the attitude. When you have a proper attitude toward your work, you will feel better about going to work each day. When you feel better about going to work, you are more likely to do a better job and feel better about the work you do.
So, starting tomorrow morning, get up and be grateful for your work because it helps you to provide for your family and that is something that deserves a show a gratitude.
