You Don’t Have to Be Tech Savvy to Love Technology

If you are not tech savvy but want to enjoy your technology, the first thing you should do is grab the manual. Even if you are not a person who reads a manual from cover to cover, glance through it. Look at the table of contents, see what the manual talks about so that if you ever need it, you will have a minimum level of comfort. When it comes to your laptop, tablet and smartphone, back up your devices to the cloud before you use it. Be sure to back up your devices on a regular basis at least once per month so that you always have a copy of all your information. Make full use of cloud storage. When my son dropped my laptop and cracked the screen on Friday night, cloud storage made it possible for me to pick up my tablet and continue working and meet deadlines rather than crying and because I could not get the tablet repaired until Monday morning.

Once you have the manual safely tucked away and have set up your cloud storage to automatically save everything on you devices, start using your stuff. Pick up the laptop, try to do whatever you want to do. Enjoy the tablet. Have fun with the smartphone. Snap away with the new digital camera. Enjoy your technology. Don’t wait until you are tech savvy or a tech expert to enjoy your technology. Pick your stuff up and enjoy it now!

  1. I agree that you don’t have to be tech-savvy to love technology! These days there are so many sources for support and trouble-shooting that it’s so easy to find help when you need it

  2. I love all the tech stuff available to us now. It’s amazing to watch toddlers even be able to navigate their tablets etc. I do set mine down quite often though and walk away.. if not I would be in front of it all the time 😉

  3. I agree wholeheartedly. I’m not at all tech savvy, but I do love technology. 🙂

  4. These are some great points. I think, besides my daughter, I’m the most tech savvy person in the family.

  5. I LOVE tech, but I am definitely not savvy in it. I just try to go with the flow.

  6. I actually LOVE technology and completely embrace it, but I definitely have friends and family members who need an extra push! Love the write-up!
