Technology is all around you and you don’t have to be tech savvy to love it. One of the best things about modern technology is that it is changing and improving each day. With each update, technology is becoming more user-friendly and more exciting.
Technology is everywhere, from computers to personal hygiene products, technology is always improving the things we use every day.
Often when people talk about technology, they think about computers, smartphones and tablet devices. When I think of technology I think about feminine hygiene products. The connection between technology and the computer devices I mentioned is very easy to see. The technology in those devices is obvious and easy for most people to see. For me, the technology in feminine hygiene products is just as easy to see.
When I was a young woman, (many, many moon ago) feminine hygiene products absorbed based upon the thickness of the product. Today, technology has been entered the marketplace. Feminine hygiene products now have technology built inside in the form of chemicals that absorb liquids and odors with ease. It is now a selling point to call feminine hygiene products thin and absorbent. I don’t know all the details about what makes the newest feminine hygiene products work, I just know they do. I know they work so I enjoy the technology inside and use the products without giving them a second thought.
You should take this same attitude toward the technology in the computers, tablets, phones, cameras and other devices you use on a daily basis. You don’t have to know why it all works, simply sit back and enjoy the technology and what it can do to make your life better, easier and more enjoyable.
You can still enjoy technology even if you are not tech savvy.
One of the best things about modern technology and devices is that it is hard to break it. The software that makes our laptops, smart phones, tablets and digital cameras work is usually protected so that it is hard for you to accidentally mess things up. Once upon a time I accidentally deleted the entire contents of my hard drive twice in one day. I actually deleted everything, including the operating system and then had to restore everything from scratch taking four hours each time to get it done. Today, technology has made it easier to protect our computers. When was the last time you deleted the contents of your entire hard drive including operating system? When was the last time you had a friend or family member do it by accident.
If you are not tech savvy but want to enjoy your technology, the first thing you should do is grab the manual. Even if you are not a person who reads a manual from cover to cover, glance through it. Look at the table of contents, see what the manual talks about so that if you ever need it, you will have a minimum level of comfort. When it comes to your laptop, tablet and smartphone, back up your devices to the cloud before you use it. Be sure to back up your devices on a regular basis at least once per month so that you always have a copy of all your information. Make full use of cloud storage. When my son dropped my laptop and cracked the screen on Friday night, cloud storage made it possible for me to pick up my tablet and continue working and meet deadlines rather than crying and because I could not get the tablet repaired until Monday morning.

Once you have the manual safely tucked away and have set up your cloud storage to automatically save everything on you devices, start using your stuff. Pick up the laptop, try to do whatever you want to do. Enjoy the tablet. Have fun with the smartphone. Snap away with the new digital camera. Enjoy your technology. Don’t wait until you are tech savvy or a tech expert to enjoy your technology. Pick your stuff up and enjoy it now!
